Key takeaway: Nacha, the private association that administers the U.S. ACH Network’s rules, has added Flagright to its Preferred Partner Program — a vendor directory open to any provider whose tools align with advancing the network, not a selective regulatory endorsement. It’s still a useful signal for merchants and banks vetting ACH fraud tools, since it means Flagright’s platform has met Nacha’s baseline criteria, but it shouldn’t be read as regulators mandating AI-driven monitoring.
Nacha, which sets the rules for the U.S. ACH Network, has named transaction-monitoring platform Flagright a Preferred Partner for ACH Compliance, Fraud Monitoring, and Risk and Fraud Prevention.
The designation, announced August 24, 2026, recognizes Flagright’s platform for helping banks and payments companies watch incoming and outgoing ACH activity, flag deviations from expected behavior, and prioritize alerts based on their own risk policies. Flagright says its approach cuts false positives by up to 93% and compliance costs by about 80% compared to fragmented point solutions, and the company serves more than 100 customers across financial services and payments.
“Safety is paramount to all ACH Network payments, and fighting fraud is of the highest importance for Nacha. We are pleased to welcome Flagright as a Nacha Preferred Partner,” said Nacha President and CEO Jane Larimer.
Flagright Co-Founder and CEO Baran Özkan said the partnership “gives Flagright a stronger forum to engage the payments community, share practical approaches to real-time, risk-based monitoring, and help institutions connect ACH fraud detection, AML controls, investigations, and governance in one operating system.”
The timing tracks with ACH’s growing footprint: Nacha reported the network processed 9.3 billion payments in the second quarter of 2026, up 6.2% year over year, worth $25.9 trillion, an 11.1% increase. Flagright closed a $12.5 million Series A round in June 2026 to build out its AI-driven financial crime compliance tools.
Why it matters: Merchants leaning on ACH for payroll, vendor payments, or subscription billing are exposed to the same fraud vectors banks are trying to shut down. A Nacha Preferred Partner listing is one signal merchants and their processors can use when vetting monitoring tools, especially as ACH volume keeps climbing — though it’s worth remembering the designation is available to any vendor that meets Nacha’s program criteria, not a distinction reserved for a select few.
